Mining Season Recap
Hello Miners!
As promised, we bring you the recap of what was announced during today’s stream and this week it has all kind of news — Awesome, great, ok and bad news.
So let’s start with the bad news.
As you know, the Alpha Mining Season was launched on the 0.8 Game Launcher and it ran smoothly for the entire season. Since the 0.9.7 Game Launcher update, the game got several bugs that were severely breaking the mining logic. As result to being unable to fix the issue, it was proposed to either end the season or to extend it on Game Maker 0.8 Drafts Gallery. Some players and the team confirmed that the inventory was not displaying correctly on Game Maker 0.8.10/11. — It’s not showing the collected resources. Although this bug is not transversal, it affected most players.
It became clear that the remaining Season would be no longer fair. The game has to be playable by everyone for a fair Leaderboard. — So the team voted to end the Alpha Mining Season today.

There will be a special stream dedicated to announce the winners of the Alpha Mining Season on the 13/12/2023 and we will proceed in the next 15 days to distribute the SAND rewards for the Best Miner and Gated Pickaxe Leaderboards.
That was all for the bad news.
For the OK news, all the backend of the Clan Management DApp is finally ready and you should be able use it very soon once the front end is all deployed in the Website. — Once the DApp is live, there will be 1 week for all Clans to register on the Website, invite all Clan Members and give them their according roles — The SAND rewards for the Clan Leaderboard will be distributed afterwards.
This marks the end of the Alpha Mining Season.
Now getting to the good news — With the updated and revamped Misty Mountain on Game Maker 0.9 along with the new Game Maker Fund, it will be possible to kick off the long awaited Shared Economy!
In case your crossing yourself with this term here for the first time, it means that any SAND the Pickaxe Master generates in-game, it will be distributed 55% back to the community. So for example, if the Pickaxe Master is generating 100K SAND, it means 55K SAND will go back to the community.
The new Game Maker Fund model is based on engagement and we’ve been pretty epic on that chapter, and now it’s time to take it to the next level, but we’re going to need your help! To help you accomplish that, we decided to do a one-of-a-kind type of competition. Throughout the month of December, it will be the month of sharing, we invite you to go to the Sandbox official Discord server and invite all the players that:
- Are looking for a place to call home.
- Don’t know what games exist in The Sandbox.
- Are part of your local/regional community.
- Are looking for Play to Earn.
- Are looking Clan content.
- Want to know the hot games for 2024.
- Are looking to join an awesome community.
It’s the time to grow and get the word out there, so we ask for all your help to invite and grow this amazing community we have here at the Pickaxe Master. — As an outstanding reward for your efforts, there will be a Ruby Pickaxe for 1st Place, a Gold Pickaxe to 2nd Place, a Silver Pickaxe from 3th-5th Place and an Iron Pickaxe from 6th-10th Place.
This campaign will last until 29th December and only members that have remained in the server will be counted as valid entries.
To wrap up with the Amazing news, the Beta Mining Season will debut in the 3rd of January! That’s less than one month to start the new season in the revamped Misty Mountain which is full of surprises! There will be a dedicated announcement for all the new content on the Misty Mountain, which we guarantee it will rock your world, so we’ll just leave with — Multiplayer Mining Game.
